Heermance Dutch Stonehouse In Red Hook NY

Hermance Dutch Stonehouse

Traveling on West Kerley Corners in the town of Red Hook NY,  I stopped to take several photographs of the Heermance  Dutch Stonehouse after a recent snowstorm.

Built in the 1700s the Heermance Dutch Stonehouse is sited on an active farm.  It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Dutchess County.

The Dutch influence on the area can be found on both sides of the Hudson River.  Some of these Dutch stone houses are tourist attractions.

Other historic stone houses

Twelve years ago I took photos of the historic Dutch stone houses in New Paltz NY on Huguenot St.  This is one street with many stone houses.
