Amenia NY is located in the north eastern section of Dutchess County Upstate NY.  Like the town of Washington it was established in 1788 and covers an area of 43.6 square miles. The population is estimated at just above 4000.  The town is located in the well known Route 22 corridor.  In the Hamlet of Wassaic you will find a Metro-North Station on the Harlem line which makes this a great commuter location.  From Amenia, Kent Connecticut ,and Millbrook, New York city is  just a short distance away.

One of most valuable resource is the Ten Mill River which covers an area of 33 miles and  run mostly north and south finally emptying into the Housatanic River in Connecticut.  The Ten Mile River is a source of drinking water for the local farms as well as for recreation activities such as hiking and fishing.
