Germantown New York
Germantown NY is located in the southwest corner of Columbia County and is home to just over 2,000 residents, according to the latest US Census. Originally settled by the Palatines, Germantown runs along the Hudson River between Clermont and Livingston. It offers spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains and Hudson River as can be seen in the photograph.
The Germantown community is located a few hundred feet above the river, covers 12.5 square miles and is surrounded by wooded hills, orchards, and farms. It is a great example of small town America and has kept its rural characteristics.
